Graphic Design, Not Graphic Art
Most creatives won't tell you that there is a difference between art and design. In short, design is objective and art is subjective. Design is for the user; art is for the one who makes it. Design is mostly rules; art is mostly freedom. Design has a function; art is just for show.
A great graphic designer develops materials with human psychology in mind. They utilize typography, color schemes, visual hierarchy, and clear messaging. Today's "graphic designers" are using Canva and A.I. to develop materials, but as of today these tools cannot implement brand consistency, call to action, or brand independence.
Unless something changes, "standing out" will be a thing of the past. Like fast fashion and trends, these tools inadvertently cause everything to look the same in the wrong hands. All original materials were made from scratch using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom. Original photos were taken with a Panasonic Lumix GH5 MII.
